Pacific 50k Final Table + Chicago Apartment Pics

I played my usual Pacific 50k this weekend and finally FT'd it for the first time since September (when it was the 100k). It was one of the best tournaments I've ever played. I totally abused the bubble, doubling my stack before it broke (even after dumping half of it to AA). I lost a big OESD v. overpair to the board and a big flip (88 v. AK when an A turned) that severely crippled me going into the FT. I was 9th/10 with the shorty to my right. He had less than 1/2 a SMALL BLIND but won about 4 straight hands to get a 4-5 BB stack when he pushed all in from UTG+2. Me right behind him (with about 3x his stack, which was about 1/2 average) picked up 77 and had to make a move. I pushed over the top, but unfortunately, the guy in the hijack picked up JJ and I was drawing dead to running quads when the J88 flop came out. Just unfortunate I guess, I had an M of about 3 or 4 if I remember correctly, so I felt it was the right play. I picked up $750 for my efforts, but first was $11k. I'm itching for a five figure payday.

I played with foucault for about an hr and had an entertaining chat with him while we were playing. Having another 2+2er there actually helped calm me down and prevent me from doing stupid stuff. Too bad I had to bust him when he pushed his 6 BB stack from the CO with 8c6c but I woke up with AhJs and it held. Overall I think I played really well, was patient, and extracted a lot of value out of my good hands. I've got a good attitude going into this week, so hopefully I'll hit some big paydays.

In other non-poker related news, I was in Chicago last week looking for apartments, and after a day of searching, found an awesome place in a mid-rise building in Lakeview. It's on Sheridan, about two blocks from the lake, and will be brand new when we move in September. I'm really excited to move, it's gonna be a blast. Some pics are below:
