I suck at poker again

I’ve tanked my last 15 or so MTTs. I know that is nothing unusual and people go through bad streaks of 10 times that. But I didn’t just bust. I went down in flames. Some I just can’t get cards or an opportunity to make moves, others where I get some chips and donk them off faster than John Daly at a slot machine. I notice that I develop some mental block after making a big cash where I just lose all patience and ability to focus. After taking almost $2,500 in the 40k a few weeks ago I can’t seem to focus as well as I normally do. I just want to play for the big money, but I forget how much time and effort it takes to get there. I think I’m going to try and take a few days or a week off of playing to read and do non-poker related activities. The thing is I really wanna get a seat in the WSOP, and time is running out, so I feel a little rushed on that too. But I think the break will be much better for me and my game than continuing to dump cash in MTTs.

In other news, I officially accepted my offer with ASG in Chicago. I'll probably start working in Ann Arbor in early August for a few weeks, and then move to Chicago in the middle of the month. I can't wait to go, and in some ways, still can't believe I'm finally moving. It'll be nice to get a fresh start, meet new people, and discover a new city. I never got that going to Michigan, which sometimes is one of my bigger regrets. No time to worry about that though. Chicago will be a blast. And in the mean time, I'm enjoying my summer.
